Arabian Horse: The Ancient Breed
white Arabian horseOne of the earth's most majestic animals - Arabians - are the oldest purebred horse in existence today, renowned for their versatility as show, endurance, work, and family horses. Stunning footage of Arabians and historical narrative helps trace the roots of the breed from its origins on the deserts of Africa to its importation to the United States in the 20th century. Arabians are seen competing in some of the most prestigious equestrian events in the country, including an Arabian horse show in Louisville, Kentucky, and the grueling Tevis Cup competition in Nevada. A trip to a cattle ranch in Nebraska and to a theatrical adaptation of The Arabian Nights illuminates the loyal and even-tempered nature of the Arabian breed.
