Lawrence of Arabia: The Battle for the Arab World
George Pagliero as T.E. Lawrence The story of T.E. Lawrence is a story of courage and guilt, betrayal and triumph. The British Army Officer's role in the unification of the Arab tribes against the Turks during World War I endeared him to a generation of Bedouins, but also set in motion a chain of events that Lawrence would be powerless to stop - events that would shape Arab-Western relations for generations to come.
This special draws upon eyewitness accounts of Arabs, Westerners, and Lawrence himself to tell the poignant and dramatic tale of one of the 20th century's most influential yet enigmatic figures. Filmed in England, Jordan, and Syria, in many of the places where Lawrence lived and fought, this biography uses dramatic re-creations and rare archival footage to provide a uniquely Arab perspective of the man behind the myth. Lawrence of Arabia includes interviews with descendants of those who fought with Lawrence and comments from some of his best-known biographers.
