There is a Bridge
Robert PinskyHosted by former United States Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky, There is a Bridge challenges conventional views of Alzheimer's sufferers as "unreachable" and explores the deep, complex nature of human identity. The film weaves together mental health, psychology, art, philosophy, and education to highlight the individuals and programs reaching out to elders suffering from Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Moving and provocative, the documentary illuminates the possibility for meaningful connections regardless of a person's cognitive impairments. Segments also examine the benefits to schoolchildren, elders, families, and communities involved in building relationships with Alzheimer's sufferers.
