Living after Stroke: Conversations with Couples
Although stroke is the 3rd cause of death and the primary cause of disability among adults, less is known about stroke than about many other chronic illnesses. Although there are 5,400,000 stroke survivors living in the United States, little is known about the long-term impact on stroke survivors and their family members. Living after Stroke: Conversations with Couples is a documentary video that interviews six couples who are struggling with the consequences of stroke in their lives between one and four years after the event. It is an honest and intimate look at the issues that couples face as they work to recover after a stroke and maintain their relationships.
